Dehradun, 10 Jun: BJP Dehradun organised a series of meetings and public assistance camps across different assembly constituencies on 10 June to ensure the success of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign. At the Mahanagar BJP office, a meeting related to the SIR process in Dharampur constituency was held in the presence of Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli along with senior party leaders and workers. Detailed discussions were conducted on voter list purification, registration of new voters and strategies to implement the campaign effectively at the booth level.
Another meeting at the BJP Mahanagar (Metropolitan) office focused on Raipur constituency, attended by MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, where emphasis was laid on strengthening organisational coordination and connecting every eligible voter with the process.
In addition, a cooperation camp was organised under the SIR campaign at Ward No 43 in Dronpuri at the Bhawani Shankar temple premises in Cantt constituency. Local citizens were assisted in adding names to the electoral roll, making corrections and completing necessary documentation. Hundreds of residents were provided free passport-size photographs to facilitate the completion of application forms and other required papers. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public, reflecting their commitment to strengthening the democratic process.
BJP Mahangar President Siddharth Umesh Agarwal described the SIR campaign as an important initiative to make democracy more robust and transparent. He said that ensuring every eligible citizen’s name is correctly and accurately recorded in the voter list is the foundation of democratic strength. He added that the BJP organisation is fully committed to supporting the public at the booth level through its workers to make the campaign successful. Agarwal urged all workers to reach out to households and connect maximum citizens with the campaign to guarantee one hundred per cent registration of eligible voters. He stressed that a pure and error-free voter list is the true identity of a strong democracy and requires cooperation from every section of society. The BJP, he affirmed, will continue to work for the protection of democratic values and the promotion of citizen participation.
