Dehradun, 12 Jun: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all its scheduled programmes in Uttarakhand following the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, in accordance with directives issued by BJP National President JP Nadda. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt conveyed his condolences and prayed for peace for the departed souls and strength for their grieving families. He also wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the accident.
State Media In-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan stated that, like the rest of the country, various programmes were being conducted in Uttarakhand to commemorate the Central Government’s 11 years in office. However, in light of the tragedy, the National President has ordered an immediate suspension of all events. Meanwhile all ongoing programmes were also brought to an early conclusion and tributes paid to the victims. Consequently, influencer meets and other scheduled events at district headquarters for the day have been cancelled, and all organisational activities will remain suspended until further instructions from the central leadership.
