Dehradun, 4 May: BJP state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today claimed that the party will soon take action against Congress president Ganesh Godiyal, including legal proceedings, for allegedly circulating a forged letter to malign the government. Chauhan said Congress has stooped to low-level politics in its pursuit of power and that it is relying on fabricated documents and false propaganda to mislead the public.

Chauhan accused the opposition of patting itself on the back over a concocted letter, while repeatedly manufacturing stories that expose its dubious intent. The BJP State Media In-charge reminded that the BJP MLA concerned, Arvind Pandey, has already come forward to clarify the truth that the letter being circulated by the Congress is fake. The MLA has not only declared the letter fake and condemned the act but also reaffirmed his loyalty as a disciplined soldier of the party. Chauhan said that the credibility of the Congress president now stands questioned, as he has failed to explain where and how he obtained the letter. He stressed that public life demands restraint in conduct and words, and spreading such disinformation against the Chief Minister reflects the declining standards of politics.

Chauhan further asserted that by holding the position of state president, Godiyal has tarnished the dignity of the office by spearheading campaigns of misinformation. Whenever such propaganda surfaces, he appears to side with conspirators rather than uphold truth. Chauhan added that while he does not wish to comment on Congress’s internal affairs, it is evident to all that the party president is functioning like a one-man army, resorting to blame games and accusations when he fails to secure support within his own organisation. Such conduct, he said, is unacceptable in public life.

Chauhan again claimed that BJP is consulting legal experts and will soon initiate proceedings against Godiyal. He asserted that the party will not allow Congress to gain mileage through deceit and falsehood, and that a fitting reply will be given through lawful means.
