The woman identified as Tanya Chauhan of Jawalapur locality in Haridwar was operated at the government Doon hospital on Tuesday after she was admitted under the unconscious condition. Tanya was found on Saturday and was taken to the Doon hospital. She was identified by her sister Kavya when she saw her pictures on social media.
Tanya was married to Shubham Dayal in Sonipat Haryana. “This matter is under investigation,” said a police official. A police team will be sent to Sonipat for further investigations. Tanya is not in a position to record her statement.
Preliminary police inquiries revealed that Tanya’s husband and father in law were missing from their Sonipat home since last year. The family members are also involved in a property dispute. The mobile phones of Tanya’s husband and father in law are switched off. “We don’t have full details. We will let you know after thorough investigation,” said the police official.
