Dehradun, 2 Jan: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today laid the foundation stones and inaugurated various development works worth Rs 298.06 lakh in the Vilaspur Kadli area of his Mussoorie Assembly constituency. The programme was held at the campus of 11 GRRC Junior High School, Ghanghora.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi inaugurated the Vilaspur Kadli Drinking Water Scheme constructed at a cost of Rs 243.38 lakh. In addition, under the Chief Minister’s announcement, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of a school building at 11 GRRC Junior High School, Vilaspur Kadli, at a cost of Rs 54.68 lakh. On this occasion, he also performed the formal bhoomi pujan for the school building.

Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Joshi expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and said that under his leadership, development works in the state are progressing at a rapid pace. He stated that, upon completion of the Vilaspur Kadli Drinking Water Scheme, residents of the area will receive access to clean drinking water, resolving a long-standing water shortage problem. He further said that the construction of the school building will provide students with a better educational environment and bring positive changes in the field of education. He emphasised that the state government is committed to strengthening education, drinking water facilities, sports, and basic infrastructure.
During the event, local residents placed several demands, including the establishment of an Anganwadi centre, a cricket ground, installation of tube wells in the area, and construction of a community building. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi gave a positive assurance and promised that efforts would be made to address these demands at the earliest.
On this occasion, he also felicitated talented player Bhupendra Singh Dhami for his excellent performance in the Inter-State Santosh Trophy Competition. Additionally, state movement activist Nandi Bisht and social worker Pragati Sadana were also honoured. The Cabinet Minister extended New Year greetings and best wishes to everyone present.
