Dehradun, 26 Nov: The PC Batta Tennis Tournament came to a thrilling conclusion today, with the final matches producing some outstanding tennis. The tournament, which saw participation from top young players from across the city, was a huge success, with the winners being crowned in four categories.
In the Boys Under-14 final, Yatharth of DPS Solan emerged victorious, defeating Rushil of Welham Boys’ School, 7-3. Yatharth’s impressive performance earned him the top spot in his age category.
The Boys Under-16 final saw Ashwin of SJA take on Aarush of Welham Boys’ School. Ashwin’s dominant display secured him a 7-2 win and the championship title.
In the Boys’ Doubles final, the St Joseph’s Academy team proved too strong for their opponents from Welham Boys’ School, winning 7-2. The St Joseph’s Academy duo’s impressive teamwork and strategy earned them the top spot in the doubles category.
The Boys Under-18 final saw Amrit of St Joseph’s Academy face off against Vatsalya of DPS. Amrit’s exceptional skill and endurance secured him a convincing 9-1 win and the championship title.
The tournament was graced by the presence of Colonel Vineet Singh, a distinguished veteran and accomplished sportsman, who served as the Chief Guest.
