Dehradun, 10 May: Chandragupta Section won the Inter Section Quiz Trophy at RIMC on Thursday.
Quizzing is one of the most contested events at RIMC. The Inter Section Quizzes are organised in a way that almost half the school participates. After the grueling preliminary round, in which five teams from each section takes part and only one makes it to the final.
The Quiz Contest was conducted over two rounds.
The first round was held on 20 February, after which Chandragupta Section took the lead. Continuing the momentum, Chandragupta Section lifted the trophy in a closely fought Quiz with a narrow 20 point margin. The final scores were as follows: IVth – Ranjit (105.4 points); IIIrd – Pratap (153.6 points); II- Shivaji (158.0 points); and Ist – Chandragupta (177.4 points).
It was a closely contested Quiz Contest with the cadets giving their best for their Sections. The Buzzer Round witnessed tremendous excitement.
The Quiz Masters of the event were Tayeba Khatoon, Brijesh Chauhan, Deepak Panwar, Sudhir Badoni and Rachna Malhotra. The Contest was coordinated by RT Selven.
The Chief Guest at the evening was Col Vivek Sharma, Commandant, RIMC. He lauded the cadets for their prowess and grasp of knowledge. He said, “I am very happy to see we are challenging our own standards, not only are the boys doing exceedingly well but the faculty too has set exceptional standards in organising the event.”
