DEHRADUN, 18 Nov: Instructions to disciplinary action on the tendency of secretaries to send additional secretaries or other subordinate officers in their place and irresponsible attitude were issued by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi here on Monday at Sashakt Uttarakhand @25 held at Secretariat under her chairmanship.
Expressing displeasure over the absence of Secretary level officers at all important review meetings held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary in the Secretariat, including the meeting related to Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25; not taking the meetings seriously obviously irked the Chief Secretary.
On the tendency and irresponsible attitude of the secretaries in sending Additional Secretary or other subordinate officers in their place in the review meetings held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary in the Secretariat, Radha Raturi on Monday summoned all the secretaries who were absent in the Technical Review Committee meeting related to Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25 in the Secretariat to her office and reprimanded them. She issued instructions for compulsory presence in the required meetings in future.
Instructing all the departments to fulfill the goals of Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25 with top priority and utmost seriousness, the Chief Secretary directed that the goals given to each department for the overall development of the state under Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25 will be reviewed regularly. She instructed to review the implementation of the department-wise action plans on priority basis. She has instructed the departments to work on ground to fulfill the set goals and also to expedite future action plans. All the department heads will fulfill all the development goals in the remaining time. She said that all the action plans should be implemented with full dedication.
Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram and officers of all the departments were present at the meeting.
