CM approves proposals for support of Specially Enabled, other development projects

Dehradun, 12 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today approved several significant proposals aimed at providing support to Divyang persons (specially enabled persons) and for enhancing infrastructure in Uttarakhand.

In line with his previous announcements, the CM today approved a proposal to provide free equipment to all Divyangs based on their requirements through special camps in districts until the next World Disabled Day and to offer free online coaching to Divyang students for the Civil Services Examinations.

In addition, the CM also accorded financial approval for the construction of Harichand Guruchand Bang Vishal Community Building in the rural area of Vidhan Sabha constituency Rudrapur at a cost of Rs 69.19 lakhs. He also granted approval to expenditure of Rs 5 lakhs for organising the Balbhadra Khalanga Fair in Dehradun.

Besides the above-mentioned projects, Dhami has also approved construction of an approach road from a suitable place on the Chandak Motor Road for Base Hospital, Pithoragarh; expansion of the District Hospital by relocating the government residence of the Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department, adjacent to the District Hospital, Pithoragarh, to another suitable location, and development work for the convenience of devotees at the Dhwaj Jayanti Mata Temple.

Additionally, the CM also approved a financial grant of Rs 5 lakhs for organising the Barabisi Mahotsav at Tehsil Headquarters, Dewalsthal, and also sanctioned a proposal for protective works in Sipu (Galati Nala) and Kalika Nala (till the bridge) Dharchula.

He also approved a proposal for training of the Raji tribe residing in Pithoragarh and for connecting the main highway Dharchula-Tanakpur with the connecting road Ogla Hasheswar besides approving construction of welcome gates on both sides near Taleeshwar Temple on the road from Moolghat to Jauljivi.

He also reminded that Sarkot village in Tehsil Gairsain would be upgraded to an ideal Gram Sabha and approved a proposal for asphalting the Sarkot to Bhararisain motor road, naming it after the martyr Vasudev.

In addition, Dhami also approved the beautification of Uttarakhand’s only Karna temple located in Vidhan Sabha area, Karnaprayag. He also issued orders for provision of a departmental report for building a depot of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation in Gairsain to connect Gairsain with Garhwal and Kumaon districts, making tourism easier and more convenient.
