CM Dhami visits ancestral village Tundi-Barmau, gets emotional

Pithoragarh, 14 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with his mother, visited his ancestral village Tundi-Barmau in Pithoragarh district on Friday and met the local people. During this time, he prayed for the prosperity of the state by worshiping at the village temple.

Sharing his experiences in the village, Chief Minister Dhami said that it was a very emotional moment for him to visit Tundi-Barmau of Kanalichhina, with his mother. This is the village where he spent his childhood, took the path to school for the first time, and where the affection, rich shadow of culture and traditions of the village shaped his personality.

The Chief Minister said that, as soon as he reached the village, the affectionate blessings of the elders and their immense love filled his mind with emotions. Many elders called him by his childhood name. In the smiles of the young and the youth, all those memories came alive, which had taught values and inspired him to keep going.

The Chief Minister said that during this meeting, every courtyard was filled with memories, and every step felt as though he passed through the streets of childhood. Tundi-Barmau is not just a village for his family, but also their roots, values and identity. He said that, as per the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every Uttarakhandi will redecorate his or her home in their native village. He said that every person of Uttarakhand living outside their villages would contribute to their development. Migrants could make a significant contribution to the development of the villages.
