Dehradun, 15 Feb: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat gave the muhurat shot of a film, ‘Hindutva’, at his official residence, here, today.
The film is being directed by Karan Razdan. Most of the film will be shot in Uttarakhand. The cast comprises legendary Dipika Chikhalia, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Ashish Sharma, Sonarika Bhadoria, Ankit Raj, Satish Sharma, Mohd. Reza, amongst others.
CM Rawat expressed the hope that the movie would spread the message of Hindutva. Indian culture, he said, was rooted in Sanatan Dharma and advocated love, tolerance and trust.
Writer-Director Razdan said the movie would project the virtues of love, sacrifice and compassion. He revealed that he would soon launch another movie in Uttarakhand.
Jalota sang few lines from his new composition on the occasion which everyone enjoyed.
The lead actor of the movie Ashish Sharma presented the theme dialogue. Sharma who is a top TV actor presented it with professional ease and expertise.
Veteran actor Govind Namdev who is playing a pivotal role in the movie could not reach the function due to traffic jam. Renowned singer Daler Mehndi also was stuck in the jam and reached the CM’s residence after the function was over. Daler sang the title song of Hindutva.
Present on the occasion were MLA KC Gehtodi, KS Panwar, Information Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Nodal Officer of the Uttarakhand Film Development Commission, KS Chauhan, senior journalist Anjali Nauriyal, BJP’s State Working Committee Member Sumit Adlakha, Himanshu Jhunjhunwala and Ekta Jain of Dwapar PR, Mumbai, etc.
