DEHRADUN, 2 Nov: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, inaugurated the Rajpur Nature Festival 2019, organized by Uttarakhand Forest Department on Saturday. On this occasion the CM released a brochure of butterflies and birds related to River Rispana. He also honoured those who have done commendable work in the field of environmental protection. CM said that this event was a good initiative to make people aware about nature and environment. A safe and good future can only be imagined by saving nature and environment. He added that awareness about environmental protection and sanitation has increased among the people. This festival will also help in promoting local products. Rawat said that there was a need of awareness to make polythene free India. He added that the 50 KM long human chain would be made on 05 November to spread awareness on plastic-free Dehradun. More than one lakh people will participate in this event. We all have to ensure our participation in this call made by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. We all have to work together to maintain the natural beauty of Uttarakhand.
