CM inaugurates Nagar Van Oxygen Park in Khatima

Khatima (US Nagar), 1 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today inaugurated the newly constructed Nagar Van Oxygen Park in Khatima. On the occasion, he also planted saplings in the park premises and inspected the facilities.
Besides, the CM made six important announcements related to the development of Khatima. He declared the expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park, relocation of the forest range officer’s office to the park premises, construction of a stadium, establishment of a gymnasium, construction of a circuit house and development of a vending zone.
Dhami said Khatima’s geographical location is significant from the tourism perspective. Keeping in view the convenience of pilgrims and tourists visiting Vyasa Valley, Panchachuli and Adi Kailash, a circuit house would be built in Khatima. He also assured financial assistance for the expansion of the park and provision of necessary resources.
He stated that the Nagar Van Oxygen Park would provide the local residents with a clean, green and healthy environment, and emphasised that maintaining the park’s cleanliness and beauty was a collective responsibility. He directed the construction of a pink toilet in the park premises for the convenience of women.
Reminding of the growing challenges of global warming and climate change, Dhami said forests and the environment have become even more important. He stressed that ecology and economy are not adversaries but complementary to each other, and that the government’s priority is to advance economic activities while maintaining balance with nature and environment, thereby creating sustainable employment and livelihood opportunities for future generations. He claimed that the state government is moving ahead by balancing development and environment, and was promoting electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and solar energy projects to strengthen environmental protection and clean energy.
Addressing the programme, MP Ajay Bhatt said Uttarakhand is continuously moving forward on the path of development under the leadership of Dhami and was establishing its identity among the leading states of the country in various fields.
Municipal Chairman Ramesh Chand Joshi requested the expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park and relocation of the dilapidated forest range officer’s office to the park premises with construction of a new office. He expressed gratitude to the CM for ensuring the development of the park in Khatima.
Among those present on the occasion included District Panchayat Chairman Ajay Maurya, Block Pramukh Sarita Rana, Minister of State Mohini Pokhriyal, Gambhir Singh Dhami, Anil Kapoor ‘Dabbu’, Kishan Singh Kinna, Ranjit Singh Namdhari, Commission member ZA Warsi, Guddu Tamta, former MLA Prem Singh Rana, Randeep Pokhriyal, DM Nitin Singh Bhadauria, SSP Ajay Ganpati, Conservator of Forests Nitishmani Tripathi and DFO Deepak Singh.
