Dehradun, 7 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development schemes for the Rajpur Road Assembly Constituency near Indira Market, here, today. In total, projects and schemes worth Rs 7 crores were inaugurated, while the foundation stones of schemes worth about Rs 257 crore were laid by the CM, today.
These projects included redevelopment of the Indira Market near Clock Tower, here, which would cost around Rs 242 crores. Dhami claimed that all the schemes, for which the foundation stones had been laid today, would be completed within the stipulated time. He said that instructions had been issued to the officers to pay special attention to the timeline and quality of the works. Strict action is being taken against the executive agencies that had shown negligence towards work.
He added that strict instructions have been given to the officers that all the works be completed within the prescribed time frame.
The Chief Minister stressed that the country is making rapid progress in every field under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s honour and self-respect had increased at the global level. Schemes are being made keeping in mind the people of every section of society. Under the guidance of Modi, two indigenous vaccines were made in the country for Covid. India also provided Covid vaccine to other countries.
Dhami added that the state is getting complete cooperation in every field from the Union Government. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses are being made available to the houseless. A roadmap had been prepared by all the departments to make Uttarakhand one of the leading states of the country by 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described this decade as that of Uttarakhand and the state government is making every possible effort to realise this goal. Uttarakhand would be made the best state with everyone’s cooperation.
Urban Development Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal said the schemes inaugurated today would provide a lot of facilities to the common people. With the re-development of Indira Market, a major problem would be solved. Under this, 581 shops and 56 kiosks would be constructed. In addition, parking capacity of 1050 vehicles would also be built. He claimed the state is fast moving towards development under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Rajpur MLA Khajan Das thanked the Chief Minister for giving major projects to his constituency. He said that a major problem would be solved through the re-development of Indira Market.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, MLA Savita Kapoor, BJP Mahanagar President Siddharth Agarwal, BJP leaders Anil Goyal, Vishwas Dabur, Puneet Mittal and District Magistrate Sonika were among those present on the occasion.
