Tehri, 7 Dec: The BJP has described the Women’s Reservation Act and the Anti Conversion Act passed by the Uttarakhand Assembly as major milestones for women empowerment and maintaining the demographic balance.

Party state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan, while talking to reporters here, today, said that under the guidance of PM Modi and the leadership of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand is moving fast towards the goal of all-round development.

Addressing a press conference held in Tehri city, Chauhan claimed that new dimensions are being achieved by the state in the areas of the economy, administration, law and order and social harmony. He said that after the unfortunate Corona period, once again the state’s GDP is back on track and now touching new heights. He reminded that Uttarakhand was second in the country in low unemployment rate, while the per capita income of the state has reached Rs 2.65 lakhs. The road, rail and air connectivity is also improving rapidly. Along with this, Uttarakhand is continuously moving forward by connecting Kedarnath, Hemkund, etc., with the construction of ropeways.

Chauhan also claimed that BJP government is also providing health facilities to everyone through Atal Ayushman, a roof for every family through Atal Awas Yojana and provision of food through Garib Kalyan Yojana. The Dhami Government is actively engaged in making Uttarakhand a leading state by 2025.

Chauhan added that the government is following the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption and had put about two dozen accused behind bars by conducting STF investigations in many cases. This is the strictest action taken in the history of Uttarakhand so far.
