Dehradun, 21 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Mahendra Nath Pandey, in New Delhi, today, and expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by the Central Government for industrial development in Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to set up electric charging stations in the state at the earliest. He also sought assistance in obtaining investment in the electrical vehicles and battery products business in Uttarakhand. Help was also needed for research and promotion of innovation and new technology in the automotive industry, for which a Centre of Excellence could be opened with an industry partner in Uttarakhand. With increase in investment in the state, opportunities for employment generation would increase.
Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey assured all possible cooperation from the Central Government for industrial development in the state.
