Dehradun, 23 Jul: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi on Wednesday held a meeting with officials of the Irrigation Department at his residential office on New Cantt Road, here. The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing development works in the Mussoorie Assembly constituency.
During the meeting, the minister directed officials to ensure that all proposed and ongoing construction works in the constituency are completed within the stipulated timelines. He issued instructions for the prompt approval of projects, including the reconstruction of the underground drain at Brijlok Colony in Salawala, as well as plans for Doon Vihar and other areas. In this regard, he also spoke with the Irrigation Secretary over the phone.
The minister stressed that all proposals pending at the government level must be followed up regularly to secure swift approvals. He further instructed officials to expedite construction works related to flood protection, drainage systems, safety walls, and RCC pipelines.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Bhupendra Kathait, Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department Purushottam Singh, Assistant Engineer Abhinash Bhatnagar, and other officials.
