Agastyamuni, 12 Nov: Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya participated in the ‘Scheduled Caste Swabhiman Sammelan’ organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party at Syalsaur Chandrapur in the Agastyamuni block of the Kedarnath Assembly Constituency, today.

Minister Arya promoted the policies and schemes being implemented by the government for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes.

Speaking at the conference, held in the shadow of the upcoming Kedarnath Assembly byelection, Rekha Arya said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party working to eliminate caste-based divisions and unite all communities.

“Congress has always used Scheduled Castes merely as a vote bank and never focused on their development. The Congress party only knows how to divide people based on caste; they have never known how to unite them,” Arya said.

In her speech, Rekha Arya further emphasised that, on the one hand, the BJP is fully committed to the preservation of Sanatan Dharma, while on the other hand, Congress’s toxic ideology is bent on dividing the Hindu community to please its vote bank.

Arya said, “The path of appeasement that Congress is following aims to turn Kedarnath Dham into ‘Kedar Ganj’. This party wants to eradicate every symbol of Sanatan. But the divine people of Kedarnath Assembly constituency are wise and have recognised Congress’s agenda. The people have decided that once again the lotus will bloom and saffron will wave in Kedarnath.”

She expressed confidence that BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal will secure a massive victory in the Kedarnath Assembly election, calling it not just a victory for BJP, but a victory for the people of Kedarnath. “This will be the victory of development that has taken place here… and the victory of trust in BJP leadership,” Arya added.

The event was attended by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Assembly candidate Asha Nautiyal, Union Minister Ajay Tamta, Scheduled Caste Morcha President Sameer Arya, Kedarnath In-charge Aditya Kothari, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Rishikesh MLA Bharat Choudhary, Rajpur MLA Khajan Das, Dhanolti MLA Shakti Lal Shah, Tharali MLA Gopal Ram Tamta, District Panchayat President Rudraprayag Amradevi Shah, along with other BJP leaders and a large gathering of people.
