After detailed deliberations, the names recommended to the state leadership were finalised and are now being publicly endorsed as the party’s supported candidates. He also added that the second list of Congress supported candidates is expected to be issued by the evening of 3 July.

For the Almora district, the Uttarakhand PCC has extended its support to the following candidates: Pooja Arya from Dhaura, Geeta Arya from Bhaisani, Munni Arya from Naogaon, Hema Devi from Dungra, Sunita Kunjwal from Khankar, Shailja from Sallabhat Kot, Rajni from Dol, Bhavna Joshi from Kabhari, Himanshu from Dhunras Groli, Jeevan Singh Mehra from Balta, Rajendra Bisht from Golnakaradiya, Bishan Singh Bisht from Khola, and Santosh from Palyura. Additional names include Hema Arya from Kumauli, Chandrashekhar from Dida, Kundan from Digra, Prakash from Chhani Lweshal, Ranjit from Dangi Khola, Roshan from Sakniyal Kot, Pooja from Sunoli, and Nisha from Gadasyari.

These elections are being held for a total of 66,418 posts across 12 districts of Uttarakhand, which include 55,587 positions of Gram Panchayat members, 7,499 of Gram Panchayat Pradhans, 2,974 of Kshetra Panchayat members, and 358 of Zila Panchayat members.

The nomination process began on 2 July. Voting will be conducted in two phases, on 24 and 28 July, while the counting of votes will take place concurrently on 31 July.
