Lucknow, 16 May: In terms of economic prosperity, in the 10 years of Modi government since 2014, we have brought India from 11th position to 5th position. Through BJP’s Sankalp Patra, now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to make India the third largest economic power in the world and has also guaranteed to make India a developed nation by 2047.
State Cabinet Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Satpal Maharaj said this while addressing a huge election rally organised in support of BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Kalyanpur, Khurram Nagar, Lucknow on Thursday. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh could not attend the rally due to his ill health but on this occasion, apart from his son Neeraj Singh, candidate for assembly by-election from Lucknow East Assembly, O.P. Srivastava participated in the public rally. After this, he also went to Rajnath Singh’s residence to know about his well-being.
Addressing the election meeting, Maharaj said that in terms of economic prosperity, India has become the world’s fastest growing economy since Modi became the Prime Minister. He said that the BJP has fulfilled all the promises like construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, removal of Article 370 and abolition of triple talaq. 10 crore 35 lakh women of the country have benefited from PM Modi‘s Ujjwala Yojana. We have delivered cheap gas cylinders to every house, now we have resolved to deliver cheap cooking gas through pipelines.
BJP’s star campaigner Satpal Maharaj said that our government has built 04 crore concrete houses so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and now we have resolved to build 03 crore more houses through our Sankalp Patra. Apart from Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, Har Ghar Jal Yojana, Smart City Namami Gange Yojana, the Modi government has also given the gift of Vande Bharat Train, 80 new airports, 33% reservation for women in Parliament and new Parliament building to the people of the country.
Praising Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Maharaj said that during his tenure as Education Minister in Uttar Pradesh, he did important work like curbing cheating and including Vedic Mathematics in the curriculum as well as removing misleading information present in history textbooks. As BJP State President in Uttar Pradesh, he strengthened the organization as well as enabled the party by giving strong leadership during many political crises. As BJP National President, he visited every corner of the country. He also did Bharat Suraksha Yatra which included visits to many states, districts and places troubled by the problem of internal security and terrorism. He attacked inflation, farmers’ issues and many policies of the UPA government.
Minister Satpal Maharaj said that during the tenure of Rajnath Singh as Defence Minister, India’s defense system is stronger today than ever before because the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focusing on strengthening it with the spirit of Indianness.
Referring to the reformative steps taken by the Ministry of Defence to achieve self-sufficiency in defence manufacturing, Shri Maharaj said that the establishment of Defence Industrial Corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu is a major step of the government. The government has inspired the country’s defence system with new energy in line with the vision of the people of the country. As a result, today India has emerged as a powerful nation on the global stage with a strong and self-reliant army. Today, due to strong leadership like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh at the Centre, our forces have strong will power.
