DEHRADUN, 3 Jan: Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the 38th National Games to be held in Uttarakhand at the Secretariat on Thursday. He ordered that the infrastructural facilities prepared by the government should be got inspected by sports associations. The facilities had to be at par with the laid down standards.
The Chief Secretary said there would be need to hire specialised agencies for work in different sectors. Sports officers of the state needed to visit Kerala and Goa where National Games were being held to know about the infrastructural facilities there. This would help Uttarakhand prepare better for the National games. The DPR prepared by Collage Design, Mumbai, needed to be properly studied.
Sports Secretary Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, Secretary, Finance, Amit Negi, IG Sanjay Gunjial, DIG GS Martolia, Sports Director Pratap Shah, Secretary, MDDA, PC Dumka and others were present at the meeting.
