Dhami expresses gratitude to Modi for passage of Anti‑Cheating Bill in Lok Sabha

Dehradun, 29 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Lok Sabha passed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026. The bill was passed by the Lok Sabha today. Dhami described the development as a historic step towards protecting the future of millions of hardworking and talented youth and ensuring transparency, fairness and credibility in the examination system.

He said that the law will empower strict and effective action against examination mafias, paper leak gangs and organised cheating.

Dhami also claimed that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the Union Government has given the highest priority to the interests of youth and the passage of this amendment bill in the Lok Sabha is proof of the resolve to maintain the sanctity of public examinations. He added that the credibility of recruitment and competitive examinations across the country will be further strengthened.

The CM expressed confidence that with the implementation of this amended law, the examination system throughout the country will become more robust and the faith of deserving and diligent candidates will be reinforced. He reiterated his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for this historic initiative, saying that the decision will provide new momentum to the resolve of building a ‘cheating‑free India.’
