Dehradun, 10 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveying his congratulations, greetings and best wishes on behalf of the people of Uttarakhand on the occasion of Modi completing twelve years of successful leadership and becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister of the country. In his letter, Dhami observed that, under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved unprecedented progress in development, good governance, national security, cultural renaissance and global stature.
Dhami mentioned that welfare schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi have brought positive change to the lives of crores of citizens. He further observed that historic decisions including the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, Digital India, the National Education Policy 2020, GST reforms and promotion of indigenous defence production have given India a new direction. Dhami also praised India’s extensive vaccination drive during the COVID-19 pandemic and the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative as examples of global leadership.
The CM also appreciated the PM’s efforts towards strengthening national security, honouring soldiers, preserving cultural heritage and reviving Sanatan cultural consciousness. He further described the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Mahakal Lok and the reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham as symbols of the nation’s cultural pride.
Dhami expressed gratitude for Modi’s special affection and support towards Uttarakhand, citing the accelerated progress of Kedarnath and Badrinath redevelopment, the Char Dham all-weather road project, the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line, the Delhi-Dehradun expressway, ropeway projects, Vande Bharat Express, border area development and other infrastructure initiatives.
Dhami also referred to the advancement of the Lakhwar, Song Vyasi and Jamrani multipurpose dam projects. He stated that their completion will ensure drinking water and irrigation needs are met and benefit lakhs of people in the state. He expressed confidence that under Modi’s visionary leadership India will achieve the resolve of becoming a developed nation by 2047 and establish itself as a leading power on the global stage.
