DIS wins RIMC Hugh Catchpole All India Debate for 3rd Consecutive Year

Dehradun, 1 May: Doon International School, Dehradun, has etched its name in debating history by winning the prestigious All India Inter School Hugh Catchpole English Debate Competition for the third consecutive year.

Hosted by the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) from 28 to 30 April, the event saw participation from 14 of India’s leading schools, including La Martiniere Lucknow, Welham Boys’, Welham Girls’, St Joseph’s Academy, Wynberg Allen Mussoorie, RKKGPS Jodhpur and others.

The team – comprising Palak Tomar, Avnish Singh Chauhan, and Nishchay Deep – stood out across six rounds of intense debating amongst talented teams from across the country. Their eloquence, clarity of thought and compelling arguments earned them top honours both as a team and as individuals.

In individual categories, Palak Tomar was adjudged 1st Best Speaker, Nishchay Deep secured the 2nd Best Speaker title, and Avnish Singh Chauhan was named Most Promising Speaker.
