Dolphin Annual Week Srijan-2019 begins

DEHRADUN, 25 Feb: The 17th Annual Week, ‘Srijan-2019’, was inaugurated by Chairman Arvind Gupta, Dolphin PG Institute. The week will be marked by inter-departmental, sports and co-curricular competitions. The week has been dedicated to the Martyrs. He asked the students to rise above caste and religion and inculcate the feeling of nationality among themselves. The theme of this year’s annual week is ‘Patriotism’.
A march past was held in which students of all houses and 29 KBN NCC Unit participated. The programme also featured colourful dances based on Shiv Vandana and also traditional dances from the 7 states of the North East.
The Annual Week is organised by the Dolphin Students’ Welfare Committee (DSWC). Dean, DSWC, Vipul Garg and Sports Officer NK Joshi briefed the gathering about the various inter-departmental sports events including track and field, cricket, soccer, kho-kho, badminton, tug of war, etc., as well as the cultural activities, like poster presentation, dance, essay writing, debate, collage making, painting, rangoli, face painting, mehndi cartoon making, paper art, flower decoration, etc., scheduled during this period.
The inaugural programme was anchored by members of DSWC Ankita Belwar and Nikita. Among those present were Principal Dr Shailja Pant, Director Dr Arun Kumar, Additional Director VK Nagpal, Joint Director Sunil Kaul along with various faculty members, students and staff.
