Dehradun, 13 Jan: It is said that talent does not wait for opportunities; rather, when given the right chance, it shines bright. This is truly the case for Preeti Tapali, a Class 11 student from Phoolchand Nari Shilp Kanya Balika Inter College, Dehradun, who has been selected to participate in the Prime Minister’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” programme 2025.

Preeti, who hails from a very humble background, participated in the first session of the “Pariksha Pe Charcha” programme held on 12 January 2025 in New Delhi. The session, titled “Building Focus and Memory – The Sports Mentality”, was part of the curated activities planned for the event.

Preeti’s father works as a labourer, and her mother does cleaning work in homes. Despite these hardships, this bright student has impressed everyone with her performance, making her selection an inspiring example for many.

This achievement is a source of pride not only for the student and her family but also for the entire school community and Dehradun.

Upon receiving the information, the school’s Principal, Mona Bali, immediately made arrangements for Preeti to attend the event, sending her to Delhi with Escort Teacher Renu Joshi, a Hindi Lecturer at the school.

The “Pariksha Pe Charcha” programme, led by the Prime Minister, provides students with a golden opportunity to showcase their talent and gain insights into how to manage exam stress and focus on their goals.

This event also saw significant contributions from education officials such as Jharna Kamthan, Director, School Education, Uttarakhand, Dr Mukul Kumar Sati, Nodal Officer, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, Vinod Kumar Dondiyal, Chief Education Officer, and Sunil Bhatt, Lecturer at SCERT and State Coordinator for the programme, who all played an essential role in encouraging and supporting this young student.

On this occasion, the school management committee, along with Principal Mona Bali and all the teaching staff, congratulated Preeti for her achievement and extended their best wishes to her family. Bali praised the student’s accomplishment and expressed hope that other students from the school would draw inspiration from Preeti’s success and bring further laurels to the institution. She also thanked district and block-level officials who contributed to supporting and motivating Preeti along her journey.
