DEHRADUN, 9 Oct: Dr Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of the Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission, held an important meeting with the Chairperson of the Uttarakhand Scheduled Caste Commission. The discussion focused on various issues concerning the education, vaccination, health, and welfare of children from scheduled caste communities.
Both chairpersons emphasized the importance of education for the overall development of children, particularly highlighting the need to provide better educational opportunities for scheduled caste children. They also discussed the effectiveness of vaccination programs and the improvement of health services to ensure that all children in this demographic group receive necessary health care.
Additionally, the meeting addressed career opportunities, aiming to prepare children for better job prospects in the future. Both commissions agreed on the need to implement various welfare schemes for children.
This meeting represented a positive step towards the rights and welfare of children from scheduled caste backgrounds, with hopes of bringing about societal change.
