Dehradun, 28 Mar: Approximately 100 people benefited from an Eye Screening Camp organised under the aegis of Drishti Foundation under its continuous efforts to provide quality eye care services to the people who are deprived due to financial constraints or simply lack of awareness.
A team of Eye Experts were deployed by Drishti Eye Institute to organise a screening camp for the people of Kehri Village at Prem Nagar, here.
The objective of organising the camp was to reach out to those people who require expert consultation for their eyes but have been avoiding it because of the fear of infection during the pandemic and, especially, to those who cannot afford quality eye care. It was timely intervention to save sight from threatening disorders that persons may be complacent about.
Approximately 100 people were screened and, out of them, 12 were diagnosed with Cataract. They will be further evaluated on highly advanced diagnostic machines. If necessary, cataract surgery will be planned within days at Drishti Eye Institute, Astley Hall Centre, with all the modern amenities at very nominal charges.
Drishti Foundation also has a charity centre at 19/B, Astley Hall, where the mission is to help poor patients with expert consultation and advanced treatments.
