Dehradun, 5 Oct: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand on 7 October for the meeting of the Central Regional Council, which will be held in Narendra Nagar and will be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It may be recalled that Amit Shah, who is reaching the state on a two day tour, has many programmes lined up.  In the meeting of the Central Regional Council, Chief Ministers of four states including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will participate.

Sources in the BJP have meanwhile claimed that during his stay in Uttarakhand, CM Yogi Adityanath is also likely to visit Kedarnath and offer prayers there. It may be recalled that Yogi Adityanath, who was born and brought up in Yamkeshwar Block of district Pauri, generates tremendous interest among the people here owing to his Uttarakhand connection and also due to his popularity across the country as a top BJP leader. BJP sources claim that Yogi’s visit to Uttarakhand and the likely visit to Kedarnath will have strong political impact in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections here. In the country and particularly in Uttarakhand, Yogi is considered to be a top star campaigner for the BJP.

Amit Shah will also stay in Uttarakhand for two days. Apart from chairing the Central Regional Council Meeting on 7 October, he will also inaugurate the All India Police Science Congress in Dehradun on the same day, and also be a chief guest at another meeting. This apart, he will also be holding a meeting with the top BJP leadership in Uttarakhand during his stay. BJP considers winning all the 5 Lok Sabha constituencies and retaining them once again in the 2024 Parliamentary Elections as crucial and is not likely to leave any stone unturned.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to visit Pithoragarh on 11 and 12 October for which the preparations are in full swing from the administrative as well as the political perspective.

In the meeting of the Central Regional Council, Chief Ministers of UP, MP and Chhattisgarh will be participating. It may be recalled that the 24th meeting of the Central Regional Council was originally scheduled to be held on 15 July but was rescheduled for 7 October for various reasons. Speaking informally with some media persons, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that the meeting of the Central Regional Council is very important. In this meeting, all the problems of the states will be put before the central government for resolution.
