CM flags off Lalkuan Mumbai Superfast Train

Dehradun, 21 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the Lalkuan-Bandra Superfast train through virtual mode, today. Speaking on this occasion, the CM commented that, with the blessings of Kainchi Dham, the demand for running a direct train between Lalkuan and Bandra has been fulfilled. Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for this achievement and added that with the operation of this train, people connected to railway stations like Rampur, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mathura, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Vadodara, and Surat will have an easier and additional travel option now.

The CM also emphasised that, with the start of the Lalkuan-Bandra train service, devotees visiting Kainchi Dham, Jageshwar, and other religious places will have a better travel option. He claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is moving towards a golden age. Made in India trains like Vande Bharat, which are symbols of self-reliance and modernity, have become a part of the railway network. Under Modi and with support of the Union Government, the dream of reaching the mountains by train will soon be fulfilled with the completion of the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag railway line. He reminded that the survey work on the Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line has also been completed, and work will start soon.

Dhami assured that efforts will be made to further expand the railway services from Uttarakhand to Kashi, Ayodhya and other major cities. Currently, the double-engine government is implementing various schemes to connect the person standing at the last end of the state with the mainstream of development. With the support of the people, , the state government is working rapidly in every field to make Uttarakhand the best state in the country.

Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt stated that it was a long-standing demand of the people for a direct train service from Lalkuan to Mumbai, which has now been fulfilled. With the operation of this train, the people of the entire Kumaon region, as well as visitors and tourists to various religious and tourist places, will benefit. He noted that now three trains are going to Mumbai from Ramnagar, Haldwani and Lalkuan each week, which will also benefit the tourist areas.

It was shared that the new train No. 22544 between Lalkuan and Bandra Terminus in Mumbai will depart from Lalkuan on Monday at 7:45 a.m. and will reach Bandra Terminus on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. via Rudrapur City, Rampur, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mathura, Kota, Vadodara, and Surat. On the return journey, it will depart from Bandra Terminus on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and will reach Lalkuan on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. For the convenience of passengers, this train will be operated with one coach of 2 AC, two coaches of 3 AC, three coaches of AC economy class, six coaches of sleeper class, and four coaches of general class. All the coaches in this train are of LHB, which are convenient for passengers and suitable from a safety point of view.

On this occasion, MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, former MLA Naveen Dumka, District BJP President Pradeep Bisht, Deep Koshyari, and DRM Railways, Rekha Yadav were present.
