Rudrapur, 24 Apr: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today flagged off a fogging campaign from the Rudrapur Municipal Corporation premises. He signalled the vehicles and teams participating in the campaign to commence their work. The launch event was attended by Mayor Vikas Sharma and Municipal Commissioner Naresh Chandra Durgapal.
During the programme held in the Municipal Corporation auditorium, Minister Joshi addressed sanitation workers (environmental friends) with a message of cleanliness and distributed certificates related to the Citizens’ Code of Conduct. The programme began with two-minutes of silence to pay tribute to the tourists who recently lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
Following the tribute, Minister Joshi, along with the Mayor and Municipal Commissioner, inspected the newly developed vending zone near Rudra Building. They distributed aprons, kits, dustbins, and allotment letters to the shopkeepers present there. The Minister appreciated the organisation of the vending zone and termed it a positive initiative towards promoting self-employment.
The event was also attended by Mayor Vikas Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Naresh Durgapal, BJP Mandal President Sunil Thukral, Sant Kabir Mandal President Dheeresh Gupta, District General Secretary Amit Narang, Rajesh Jagga, and several other dignitaries.
