DEHRADUN, 15 Oct: Nature Women’s Self Help Group Haridwar, presented Ganga Jal Gift by PCU in the presence of registrar Alok Kumar Pandey and other high officials, in the auditorium of the Registrar’s Cooperative Office on Saturday. A lamp made of ghee and cow dung, a garland of Ganga lit Rudraksh, dry offerings, incense sticks made of Ganges flowers, and gift pack mango wooden box (in which chunri is offered from the temples of Haridwar to the temples), gram flour, Mandwa , Beautiful packets of churma were part of the gift pack.
Registrar Alok Kumar Pandey said that women selfhelp groups and such other groups should be encouraged by purchasing indigenously made items so that small-scale working mother power and other groups can be strengthened to earn their livelihood.
Nature Women’s Self-Help Group Haridwar expressed its gratitude to the Registrar, Cooperatives for forming the women’s self-help group while being the Municipal Commissioner in Haridwar. It was on account of the Registrar’s efforts that incense sticks were made out of flowers thrown in the Ganges water.
The PCU’s Managing Director Man Singh Saini informed that next Monday, this women self-help group, dressed in traditional costumes, would present their products to the Minister of Cooperatives.
