DEHRADUN, 15 Oct: Under the state level Jan Arogya Abhiyan, a target has been set for health check-up of 18 lakh persons across the state by March 2023. To expedite the campaign, concrete instructions have been given to the departmental officers, as well as special instructions have been given to the Chief Medical Officers of such districts where the pace of the campaign is very slow. Under the campaign, NCD screening (health test) of 4 lakh persons has been done so far.
In this regard, a statement was today issued by State’s Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat. He stated that in view of the success of the state-level Jan Arogya Abhiyan, a target has been set to conduct health check-up of 18 lakh persons across the state by March 2023. For this, concrete instructions have been given to the departmental officers to expedite the campaign. He said that the pace of Jan Arogya Abhiyan was very slow in some districts, in which necessary instructions have been given to the CMOs concerned to speed it up. So far 4.836 lakhs have been tested under the Jan Arogya Abhiyan across the state.
Dr Rawat informed that apart from this, Ayushman cards and Ayushman Bharat Digital Health ID cards were also being made by the community health officers in the campaign. He said that in this campaign, 940 CHOs posted at health and wellness centres across the state have been entrusted with the responsibility of going from village to village and conducting health check-ups of the people. Rawat claimed that the state government was determined to make the state a healthy Uttarakhand. He also appealed to the people to take advantage of Jan Arogya Abhiyan by getting their health tested.
