DEHRADUN, 25 Sep: Governor Lieutenant General (Retired) Gurmit Singh has congratulated the people of the State, especially the people of the Sikh community, on the occasion of Guruyari festival of the second Sikh Guru Angad Dev Ji. Guru Nanak Dev ji, seeing the Guru Bhakti and devotion of Guru Agand Dev ji had entrusted him with the Guru Gaddi on this day. He said that Guru Angad Dev ji became a true Sikh and a great Guru only through his creative personality and spiritual activeness.He is remembered for adopting and formalizing the Gurmukhi. He showed Sikhism the path of true devotion and liberation.
