Dehradun, 23 Mar: In a message released on the eve of World TB Day (24 March), Governor Baby Rani Maurya said that treatment of TB infection is essential to controlling and eliminating the disease in India. The World TB Day theme, this year, is ‘The Clock is Ticking’.
“We reaffirm our commitment towards a TB free society. Our public health system and private providers play a crucial role in this effort. Universal access to quality diagnosis and treatment for TB is the need of the hour,” she asserted.
The Governor added that universal access to quality diagnosis and treatment for TB is the need of the hour. Correct and complete treatment is the key to winning the battle against TB. She also saluted the people and organisations strengthening the TB-free movement.
