Nainital, 8 June: Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Saturday inaugurated the ‘Raj Bhawan Maitri Chatbot‘ built using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, at Raj Bhawan Nainital. It is worth noting that the Governor has given an important place to AI in his five major missions. In this sequence, Maitri Chatbot is an innovative effort equipped with AI technology in which information about various programs and activities of the Governor will be available. Users will be able to get solutions to their queries through quiz and can get various information. This chatbot will be available in various languages on the Raj Bhavan website.
On this occasion, the creator of Maitri Chatbot, Siddharth Madhav presented detailed information related to the creation and use of the chatbot.
The Governor said that ‘Maitri‘ is not just a technical tool, but it is a medium through which we can bring knowledge and assistance to different sections of the society by realizing innovation. He said that through this chatbot, users will be able to get answers to their queries and obtain various information while respecting our language and culture.
Lt Gen Singh said that there is no dearth of talent in Uttarakhand. The youth here are assimilating new technology. He called upon the Uttarakhandis to recognize its potential and contribute to the development of the nation. He said that with the maximum use of technology, the third decade of the 21st century will be the decade of Uttarakhand in which the role of AI will be important.
The Governor said that the time till 2047 is such a period in which the role of our Amrit generation will be important in building a strong, self-reliant country. He said that the best use of technology will prove to be very helpful in the journey of development and in the welfare of humanity.
The Governor further added that under the National Education Policy, far-reaching reforms have also been implemented in education to inculcate scientific thinking among the youth as well as to promote curiosity-based education. He said that at present, work is being done continuously to promote research and innovation amongst the youth. He said that science and technology will play an important role in realizing the resolve of developed India by 2047.
