DEHRADUN, 8 Mar: Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya flagged off the Uttarakhand Women Bike Rally 2019 organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Rajbhawan.
Congratulating Trilok Society and The Dhaal Society for organizing the women bike rally the Governor said that a women’s bike rally sends out the message that girls are not less than boys. The Governor also congratulated the self dependent and hard working nature of the women of Uttarakhand who conveyed a strong message of woman empowerment across the country. She said that earlier men used to have monopoly in most of the fields in society but now women challenged this state of affairs in many areas. The Governor said that we should give equal opportunities to our daughters for over all development of their personality. These days women are fulfilling their responsibilities very well along with their professional careers. She emphasized that Women should be full of confidence. Due to inherent efficiency, wisdom and self dependency women get blessings of almighty in life. She added that girls have to fight for their rights and opportunities. Girls should move forward in life with the blessings, trust and help of their parents too. More than two hundred women bikers participated in rally. Rally started from Rajbhawan and ended at Nature Oville, Haridwar Road.
