Garhwal Post Bureau
DEHRADUN, 18 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday handed over appointment letters to newly selected Assistant Review Officers and Review Officers of the Revenue Council during a ceremony held at the CM’s Camp Office here. Extending congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed personnel on the occasion, the CM observed that receiving appointment letters ahead of Diwali was a moment of special happiness for the recruits and their families. He also conveyed his appreciation to the families for their support and contribution to this achievement.
Highlighting the Government’s efforts in employment generation, the CM recalled that over the past four years, more than 26,500 youth have been provided government jobs in Uttarakhand by his administration. He asserted that the recruitment process is being carried forward in mission mode, with transparency and merit as its cornerstone. Recalling the recent incident concerning a competitive examination held in Haridwar, he noted that swift action has been taken, the accused has apprehended, and a Special Investigation Team has constituted. Dhami also reminded that in response to the sentiments expressed by the students, he personally met them, and based on their demands, the examination was cancelled by him and a recommendation made for a CBI inquiry.
Dhami claimed that all the competitive examinations conducted in the state in recent years have been held with complete transparency and impartiality. He asserted that there is no room for irregularities or corruption in the recruitment process.
The CM also claimed that since the formation of the Government, a campaign has been launched to fill vacant posts through a transparent mechanism, which has enabled thousands of youth to secure employment in government service. He assured that this campaign would continue with the same commitment to transparency in the future.
Addressing the newly appointed officials, Dhami also urged them to treat government service as a means of public service. He emphasised the importance of working with dedication, honesty, and transparency. He further stressed that simplification and acceleration of administrative processes are essential to ensure that citizens receive prompt and hassle-free services.
Also present on the occasion were Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Secretary SN Pandey, Additional Secretary Ranjana Rajguru, officers of the Revenue Council, and the newly appointed Assistant Review Officers and Review Officers.
