CM makes several announcements for Nainital district

Haldwani, 30 Nov: Ija-Baini Mahotsav was organised at MB Inter College here today in which about 40 self-help groups from other districts, including Nainital set up stalls of hill products. Chief Guest at the festival, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated 66 schemes worth Rs 713 crore for Nainital district and laid the foundation stone of 193 schemes.
Traditional folk musical instrument Chholiya and cultural programmes attracted the audience from Army Gate to Mbi Inter College intersection regarding Eja Baini Mahotsav. The visitors were also enthralled by the rich folk cultural heritage of the state.
CM Dhami, who arrived at the festival, was warmly welcomed by the women at Durga City Centre and here he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various schemes worth Rs 713 crore and also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated the development schemes of other districts of the state through virtual medium. After this, he inspected various stalls set up by women groups at the venue and encouraged the women groups. Dhami also expressed his gratitude by showering flowers on the women who came to the festival.CM Dhami also inaugurated the Kanya Puja and lamp lighting programme. He stated that the contribution of women is very important for the development of the state. With the help of women power, there will be overall development of the nation. He also spoke to women entrepreneurs on the occasion and honoured some outstanding women entrepreneurs.
