Dehradun, 6 Jun: The Uttarakhand Govt has finally filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) challenging the High Court’s ban on the Char Dham Yatra. The SLP was filed today. Earlier, it was also being speculated that the government could file a revision petition against the decision in the Uttarakhand High Court, itself. It may be recalled that the High Court had banned the Char Dham Yatra till 7 July and had scheduled the next hearing of the case on that date. One day before the next hearing, the Government took a pre-emptive step by filing the SLP in the Supreme Court so that a further ban could be avoided.
