Graphic Era Hospital holds CPR Awareness Week

Dehradun, 16 Oct: Students and paramedical staff were educated about the importance of life-saving CPR techniques and their correct application at Graphic Era Hospital, here.
Under the CPR Awareness Week at Graphic Era Hospital, doctors, paramedical staff, and students organised several training and awareness activities. During the week, workshops, quizzes, and poster-making competitions were conducted. Participants were taught techniques to provide immediate assistance in cases of heart arrest or breathing stoppage. In collaboration with the medical and paramedical departments, live demonstrations were also conducted at various locations across the city, giving the general public practical experience in CPR.
Through this initiative, the institute trained over 400 medical and paramedical students and nearly 600 citizens in CPR. This effort not only enhanced the practical skills of medical students but is also considered an important step toward community service and awareness.
The programme was attended by Dean, Medical College, Dr SL Jethani, Director, Dr Puneet Tyagi, and Medical Superintendent, Dr GS Jeete. The programme was conducted by Dr Kishor Thakur. This initiative was carried out following the call of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
