Dehradun, 21 Oct: Wrapped in the magical theme of Harry Potter movie, Graphic Era University gave mystical vibes today. Seeing the decorations based on the movie Graphic Era looked like it’s a magical University like Hogwarts.
Graphic Era Group of Institutions’ Vice Chairperson Rakhi Ghanshala along with Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh and Dr Sanjay Jasola inaugurated Grafest 23 with lamp lighting ceremony. Filled with great enthusiasm and excitement students were seen enjoying the event. Watching their university decorated with their favourite movie theme added more to this joyous evening. Platform 9 3/4, Hagrid’s hut, Aragog spider and Hogwarts Express were few of the attractions of the event. Photobooth based on the famous character Dobby was flooded by the students for photographs.
On this occasion, a cultural competition was organised between Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University’s Dehradun, Bhimtal and Haldwani campus. Singing, dancing and bandwar were the categories. Hill University’s Devasthali performed Garhwali dance, Himashu performed western dance, Paramjeet performed western song, Deemed University’s Bhagra team performed Punjabi dance, Gifty performed western song, Bhimtal campus’ Himgiri Group performed Kumaoni song, Rahul Kumar performed western dance, Haldwani campus’ G- Elite performed western dance and Akansha’s Kumaoni song compelled youngsters to dance along.
Officials, faculty members and thousands of students from all the four campuses were present in the event.
