Dehradun, 29 Jul: The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Uttarakhand State Chapter and Dehradun Chapter successfully hosted their 2nd Annual Meeting on 27 July at English Book Depot, here. The gathering brought together heritage enthusiasts, experts, and INTACH members for a day of strategic planning, insightful discussions, and community engagement.
The event was graced by key chapter representatives, including Anjali Bhartari (Co-Convenor, INTACH Uttarakhand), Bharti Jain (Convenor, INTACH Dehradun Chapter), and Apurva Gour (Co-Convenor, INTACH Dehradun Chapter). The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the initiatives and activities conducted during the year 2024–25, and to chart the course for upcoming heritage outreach programs.
A key focus of the meeting was raising awareness about cultural and built heritage through INTACH’s various initiatives in the region. The presentations highlighted community walks, student engagement programmes, workshops, documentation drives, and conservation awareness campaigns conducted over the past year.
The meeting emphasised the importance of collaboration, education, and outreach to safeguard tangible and intangible heritage, reinforcing INTACH’s mission across Uttarakhand.
The event concluded with an interactive networking session, inviting suggestions and encouraging participation from all attendees toward the preservation and promotion of heritage in the region.
