Dehradun, 25 Sep: In view of complaints of cheating in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) Graduate Level Competitive Examination 2025, the state government had yesterday declared that it would order SIT probe under the monitoring of a retired High Court Judge. In this regard, the government today appointed former judge of Uttarakhand High Court, Nainital, Justice (RetdBS Verma as the supervisor for this investigation.
According to an office memorandum issued today by Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Justice Verma will closely monitor the inquiry being carried out by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure that the process remains fair, transparent and evidence-based. He will also have the authority to visit different districts of the state, take cognizance of complaints and inputs, and provide necessary guidance to the SIT as required.
It may be recalled that the government had yesterday constituted a five-member Special Investigation Team. The SIT will be headed by Superintendent of Police (Rural), Dehradun, Jaya Baluni.
