Dehradun, 7 Nov: Kasiga School hosted its 16th Annual Athletics Meet, here, today. Jiju S, Commandant (GD) of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, who joined the force in 2002 and has a remarkable record of service and achievements, was the Chief Guest.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Deputy Head of School, followed by an inspiring Torch Relay and an impressive March Past. The participants and attendees then took the Oath in a solemn ceremony, setting the tone for the day’s activities.
The Chief Guest, Jiju S, declared the 16th Annual Meet open. The attendees were treated to a captivating Band Display and an exhilarating Aero Show.
The programme also featured exciting activities such as Horse Display and Equestrian Jump, Obstacle Race, Relay Race, Yoga Display, Shooting Display, and a thrilling Tug of War between Parents, Staff, Alumni, and Senior Boys. The day was filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and fierce competition as students showcased their talents and skills in various events.
The event culminated in the Final Prize Distribution Ceremony, at which participants were honoured for their outstanding performances. Jiju S, in his address, commended the students’ dedication and encouraged them to pursue sports with passion and determination. The Best House Trophy for 2023 was awarded to Amazon House.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with the unfurling of the flag and the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The day culminated with an Alumni Meet. It was a heartwarming gathering filled with nostalgia and camaraderie. As the sun set over the school’s picturesque campus, graduates from various batches reunited to reminisce about their shared experiences and celebrate their individual journeys since leaving the institution. Laughter and conversations echoed through the air, punctuated by heartfelt exchanges and stories of personal growth.
