Kasiga School hosts day 2 of 7th PC Batta Memorial Tennis Tournament

Dehradun, 24 Nov: The 7th PC Batta Memorial Tennis Tournament, hosted by Kasiga School, witnessed an action-packed Day 2, with top players from 16 participating schools vying for the top spot.

In the Under-16 category, today’s matches saw some nail-biting finishes. Aarav of Kasiga School edged out Vihaan of Selaqui International School in a closely contested match with a score of 6-4, 6-3, while Kavya of St Jude’s Academy outplayed Riya of DPS Solan, 6-2, 6-1.

Maahira of Brightlands beat Sanjana of Vantage Hall and then Varshika of DPS, to book her place in the final.

In the lower half, Ishana of Kasiga lost to Jinisha of Welham Girls. Then Jinisha beat her school mate, Kyra, to reach the final.

In the under 16 event, Maahira beat Yashasvi of DIS and, then, Shivi of DIS and Charvi of MIS to reach the final.

In the bottom half Ishana of Kasiga beat Sangani of Ecole, then Navya of Welham, and finally Vidhi also of Welham Girls to reach the final.
In the Boys’ Under 14 event, Yatharth of DPS Solan beat Veeraj of DIS, 6-1, Atharva of Welham Boys, 6-2, then Bhavyam of SJA, 6-3, to reach the final.

Rushil of Welham Boys beat Dani of Selaqui, 6-1, then Shivansh of Army Public School, 6-3, to reach the final.
In the boys under 18 event, Naivedya of SJA beat Eshan of Welham Boys 7-4. Amrit of SJA beat Rakshit of Welham Boys, 7-2. In the semifinals, Amrit beat compatriot Naivedya, 7-3, to reach the finals.

The tournament is gaining momentum, with players displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship. The excitement will continue to build as the competition progresses.
