Haridwar, 17 Apr: For the successful conduct of the first phase (house listing and house enumeration) of ‘Census – 2027’ being organised by the Government of India, a three-day training programme was inaugurated today at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) located at BHEL Haridwar. Organised under the direction of Ranjan Kumar, Executive Director, BHEL Haridwar, the Chief Guest, Sanjay Panwar, General Manager / Township Administrator and Charge Officer, ITS, BHEL Haridwar, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
In his address, Sanjay Panwar highlighted the importance of the census, calling it a matter of national responsibility and pride. He explained that the census will be conducted in two phases, for which the BHEL ITS area has been divided into 10 sectors and 43 houselisting blocks. During the training session, Ravi Kumar Goswami and Shiva Agarwal, assistant teachers at the Government Primary School, Municipal Corporation, will provide detailed information to participants as field trainers designated by the state government.
This training programme will be held 17 to 19 April, with a total of 53 enumerators and supervisors participating. During the training, participants will be provided theoretical and practical training on the use of digital equipment, data collection processes, door-to-door survey methods, and gathering accurate information.
At the end of the programme, all participants were urged to fulfill their responsibilities with complete devotion and honesty, ensuring the successful completion of the census process. HRDC in-charge Harish Singh Bagwar, along with other BHEL officials and employees, were present on the occasion.
