Dehradun, 12 Apr: Lions Club Dehradun organised a seminar on mental health and stress management, considering it the need of the hour. It proved to be informative and motivational.

This year, Club International President AP Singh has affirmed that, on the world scale, this issue should be given the topmost priority.

Dr APS Aulakh (MBBS, MD, psychiatrist, Professor, Graphic Era Institute) shed light on this topic. He said the first and foremost important thing is to understand that this is a problem and cannot be ignored in lighter mode. It is a treatable disease and should be given proper attention. He was also concerned that proper facilities and de-addiction centres are still not available to people within a distance of even 50 km.

He said the prime importance is to exercise, relax, go out in the open, take a healthy diet, socialise, say no to drugs, be grateful, sleep better, and not to hesitate to talk about it and get help if required.

A number of persons asked many questions related to the subject and received beneficial responses.

Club President Rahul Dev Dhand, Secretary Amit Garg and Treasurer Nishant Aeron presented a token of thanks to Dr Aulakh.

The session was attended by Anil Garg, Ashutosh Goyal, Surendra Aggarwal, Sunil Goyal, Rajat Aggarwal, Rishita Sapra, Anurag Jain, Vineet Jain, Neha Aggarwal, Saurabh Jindal, Dr Avdhesh Goyal among many others.
