Dehradun, 23 Apr: BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, terming it as both tragic and unforgivable. Expressing confidence in the Modi government, he asserted that the real perpetrators would face the harshest punishment. He stressed that the people of Uttarakhand, known as the land of brave soldiers, deeply empathise with the victims and stand in solidarity with them during this hour of immense grief.
In his condolence message issued today, Bhatt described the loss of innocent lives in the attack as profoundly distressing. He labelled the incident a cowardly and inhuman act against humanity. Paying tribute to the deceased, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to find peace in God’s lotus feet. He also wished for the swift recovery of the injured. Bhatt highlighted that the government, the army, and the local administration are extending all possible assistance to those affected.
Bhatt also observed that terrorism not only undermines culture and peace but also strikes at the very foundation of humanity. He asserted that such conspiracies aimed at destabilising Jammu and Kashmir would never succeed. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhatt assured that the government would deliver a decisive and fitting response to this heinous act. He further stated that the enemies of humanity responsible for this atrocity would not be spared and would face the severest punishment. The nefarious designs of terrorists and anti-national elements, he declared, would never be allowed to prevail.
Bhatt also reflected on the resilience of the people of Uttarakhand, who have often borne the brunt of terrorism. He noted that this shared experience enables them to deeply understand the pain of the families affected by this attack. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he stated that the Modi administration stands resolutely in favour of taking stringent action against these enemies of humanity and the nation.
