Dehradun, 26 Oct: BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt has been nominated as a member of the Advisory Committee related to the Petroleum Ministry. BJP’s State Media In-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that the Government of India has constituted an Advisory Committee regarding the functioning of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It is a matter of pride for the people of the state that the BJP MP from Uttarakhand has got the opportunity to play a role as a member in this committee. This committee, constituted under the chairmanship of Cabinet Minister Hardeep Puri in the Union Petroleum and Gas Ministry, includes Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs along with the Minister of State of the department.
Chauhan expressed hope that this important ministry related to the country’s economy will receive valuable suggestions from Bhatt regarding the action plan. He claimed that since major institutions like ONGC and IIP related to the ministry are also based in Dehradun, his presence in this high-level committee will be beneficial for the role of these institutions in local development.
